In the book series “The Four Flowers of Karma”, Lina Leizerovych shares the insights that helped her discover her own approach to raising a child.
At the heart of my stories lies the concept of karma. It is widely discussed today, though not always accurately. Some people see it as something purely esoteric, but that is not the case. Karma is a part of our everyday lives. It explains the cause-and-effect relationship between our thoughts, words, and actions and the reality we live in.
Karma is often compared to a boomerang — the idea that everything bad will come back to you. However, this is not entirely accurate, as karma has nothing to do with reward or punishment. Its core principle is simple: our actions equal our responsibility. Karma is not an external system of guilt and redemption, but an internal cycle that we set in motion ourselves — and therefore can influence. I call my stories fairy tales, although they contain no wizards, magical objects, or fantastical creatures. Instead, they hold centuries-old wisdom that helps shape our everyday reality. Isn’t that a kind of magic?
Fairy tales teach us that while certain things in life remain constant, such as good and evil, the world around us is not black and white — it is diverse and limitless, just like every individual. I dedicate these books to our young readers — the future of Ukraine.
